Varieties in the high values (Seahorses) of the overprint.
Scott #13 MW T13a Short third line
The Dollard printing (Scott #12-14, SG #17-21))had the third line "na eireann" normally with a width of 21.5 mm. In positions 1/4, 2/4, 4/1, 6/4, 7/4, and 9/1 (a total of 6 times in each sheet of 40) the third line is just under 21mm. This tends to get these stamps confused with the later issue from Alex Thom & Co (Scott #36-8, SG #44-6) which has a width of 20.75mm (Scott calls it 21mm). The major difference between the two issues is the spacing between the "h" and "e" in the third line. In the Dollard they are about 1mm apart as opposed to approx .5 mm on the Thom issue.
