Lou White
Woodwind Teacher
Lou White holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance from California State
University. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy and performed
with the Navy Band, in many different venues, for four years. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Navy Lou formed the now famous Lou White Band and, in addition, has performed flawlessly as first clarinetist with the Redding Symphony Orchestra. Lou's work as soloist in the award winning television production An All Benny Goodman Concert added to his already respected reputation in the musical community. Furthermore, he has served the north state with his unique and informative lecture series "Upbeat Live" immediately preceding many College Symphony Orchestra concerts for several years, and has taught private music lessons in this area for decades.
